UP chem and high school teachers train on UVLe

Faculty from the Institute of Chemistry participate in training workshops on the use of the University Virtual Learning Environment (UVLe) on June 4 and 5, 2012. UVLe now sports a molecule visualization engine that may prove useful for science instruction.

Also training on UVLe are teachers from the UP Integrated School (High School) on June 18, 2-5pm.

 
Mind mapping on UVLe

UVLe now sports mind mapping tools that enable users to visually outline information and relationships. One tool is Mindmap, which is accessible as a course activity. The other is FreeMind, which enables the faculty to illustrate ideas and relationships on the Desktop and upload the resulting "mind maps" on UVLe. CSSP academic support staff train on iskWiki

The academic support staff of the College of Social Sciences and Philosophy participate in an orientation workshop on iskWiki, the open-purpose wiki of the UP academic community, on Friday, May 18, 2012, 2-5pm at the Diliman Interactive Learning Center. IskWiki can be used to publicize information from the different academic units. It may also be used to archive theses and multimedia materials.
