The Chancellor invites faculty, students, staff, and alumni to the 2011 UP Diliman Convocation on Thursday, December 8, 4:30pm. At the Convocation, Chancellor Caesar A. Saloma "will present the current state of UP Diliman and the trajectory he wishes to take the constituent university in the remaining months of his three-year term."

Named among the 100 most influential leaders in the world by Time Magazine, Sachs is an economist and the Director of The Earth Institute, Columbia University.

To celebrate the International Year of Forests, the Department of Biology holds a monthly seminar series (for 9 months) on the theme of "Importance of Native Species" (see poster). DILC webcasts the event.
The 1st of the series started last June 27; subsequent seminars are on every first Monday of the month. See schedule here. Audio and video recordings of seminars are available at the "Green Mondays" page on iskWiki.

Interactive learning is a method of engaging learners with the help of multimedia materials and teaching techniques that elicit active participation in learning (as opposed to passive reception of information). DILC offers training and technical support for interactive learning. It produces and disseminates digital materials.
